Strawberry jam is whole strawberry fruits and their fragments submerged in thick syrup. The sugar gives the jam a beautiful glassy color and allows to preserve the color of the fruit, and also prevents spoilage of the contents of the jar. Thus, the opened jam can be stored for a long time. A touch of glucose syrup protects the jam from saccharification. Following the advice of Maria Ochorowicz Monatova's cookbook from the early 20th century, we add a little of this syrup to the jam.
It is an exquisite jam, so it is perfect as a flavor-enriching layer in poppy seed and walnut cakes. It goes well with chocolate, pancakes with chocolate, heavily chocolate cakes, etc. We can also use it, on a daily basis, as an addition to bread, cottage cheese, yogurt, porridge, pudding, pancakes, pancakes, crumpets, omelets, ice cream, filling for shortcrust, French and yeast cakes.
