Directions for use
- Wash brown rice under running water - rinsing will remove excess starch from the rice. Place the rinsed rice in a pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water, according to a 2:1 ratio, that is, two parts water to one part rice and a pinch of salt, if using.
- Bring to a boil over high heat. When the water begins to boil, reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot with a lid and cook the rice over low heat for about 40-45 minutes.
- Once cooked, turn off the heat, but leave the pot covered for another 10-15 minutes - this will allow the rice to finish steaming, which will give it the perfect texture.
- Gently loosen the rice with a fork and serve warm.
